<![CDATA[Sertian Diplomatic Management]]>This thread is for use by all nations' respective diplomatic authorities.

As of 17 July 2023, it has been recorded that all EU nations, with the exception of the United Kingdom, have an active embassy in the Kingdom of Sertia. This does not include embassies which opened in the former Republic of Aspern.

You may use this space to

  • detail or update your embassy staff (type 'Detail' then a message)

  • give service updates for your embassy (type 'Update' then a message)

  • make an announcement to citizens/nationals of your nation who currently are in Sertia (type 'announcement' then a message)

  • add pictures of your embassy

  • request concessions or provisions for your embassy from the government of Sertia (type 'Request' then a message)

We kindly request that you include a solid amount of descriptive information along with your request as the above list is not exhaustive.

This thread is meant to replace the system of sending messages to foreign nationals in Sertia via foreign affairs offices, which can be disjointed and not wholly accessible to everyone to whom the message may be relevant. The ibfirmatuon entered here will be published and publicised regularly in Sertian media.

Your country will automatically be considered to have an embassy in Sertia, and you do not have to do anything further if you are happy with the way things are going.

While the Brætha warmly welcome diplomats from all nations and encourage states to retain diplomatic relations with Sertia, you may use this space to indicate that you've closed your embassy should you choose to do so. However, this cannot be reversed and you will need to apply for a new embassy using the 'Embassy, Consulate and Visiting Diplomat applications' thread. If you wish to authorise a diplomat to visit Sertia but you do not have an embassy, they will need to apply for a diplomatic visa before arriving in Sertia.

effective 10 November 2023

Previously, all international students studying in the Kingdom of Sertia were required to apply for a visa before they arrived in the Kingdom of Sertia.

Citizens of certain countries will now be able to study in Sertia without any foreign immigration requirements, provided that they can prove on arrival to Sertia they have

  • proof of intention to study
  • sufficient funding and resources for at least 9 months

Effective 1 October 2023, Sertian embassies in Istkalen will close.

This closure is due to the political instability in Istkalen, and the formal condemnation of the National Salvation Council (NSC). In June of this year, the Brætha named the NSC a Prohibited Government. This means that a Sertian national would face a severe risk of arrest, criminal prosecution or other cause so as to arbitrarily prevent their safe return to the Kingdom of Sertia.

Services will be available to Sertian nationals and asylum seekers only. These services will continue until 31 October, 2023.

If you are a national of Istkalen, and you are able to reach an outpost of the Sertian Civil Armament, you may be eligible to apply for emergency transport to the Kingdom of Sertia, for an emergency period of parole, for a period of two years. The nearest SCA outpost to Istkalen is in the Kingdom of Reitzmag.
Please note that we cannot guarantee your entry or passage through other sovereign territories. If you are able to reach an SCA outpost you will automatically be considered for parole in Sertia, regardless of your immigration status within the foreign nation.

The Kingdom of Sertia will begin the use of Travel Preclearance E-Gates at ports of entry by air and sea, beginning 1 September 2023.

Travel Preclearance E-Gates will allow citizens of certain countries to be pre-cleared for travel using E-Gates to complete exit immigration checks. The use of E-Gates upon entry to Sertia (Immigration E-Gates) will also be available to these citizens in order to reduce the amount of time spent undergoing immigration checks and help passengers maximise the efficiency of their journeys.

Travel Preclearance E-Gates (TPE-Gate) will check the validity of a person's documents in Sertia to determine whether they will be allowed back into Sertia at a later date.

Immigration E-Gates will check the validity of a person's entry documents into the Kingdom of Sertia. The same citizens eligible to use the TPE-Gates will also be able to use the Immigration E-Gates.
